A thrill of excitement runs through my veins when I see that Mario Testino is responsible for a recent editorial. His work is always intriguing, strong and beautiful. This Dark Horse editorial from Vogue, September 2014 is a great example of just that.
Featuring Karlie Kloss, who’s everywhere right now; the images are full of rich colors, powerful stances and glances, yet an undeniable femininity as well. She’s a woman tough enough to challenge the men, but does so with all the style and grace of the most fashionable and delicate ladies. She’s not there to imitate them in order to fit in, but to take her own path to the similar destination.
The editorial is full of designer clothes that are just as fierce. That fabulous red-hued Carolina Herrera silk-faille dress, the Prada wool coat with pops of yellow, the Burberry wool and cashmere trench and matching poncho, and the list keeps going. With sweet horses, bold colors, lovely fashion and greatly composed photographs; I couldn’t take my eyes off these pages.
