Now that Winter is coming to a close, I decided to give you an update on the happenings of the season. It’s always a very mellow, often slower time of year. The time when you curl up in blankets, sipping hot beverages and getting lost in long conversations with loved ones or the pages of a thick, engrossing novel. Here are a few of the things I spent my time doing while the air was chilly and the skies were mostly grey.
Read: Water for Elephants, Last Train to Istanbul, Gone Girl, An Abundance of Katherine’s
Saw: Imitation Game, Interstellar, The Nutcracker Ballet
Listened: to tons of Christmas music and Jazz. Audiobooks (I’ve just started getting into these more). And also, Serial.
Planned: trips for later this year: a family vacation to Disney, a visit to see my little sister in the Carolinas, a summer roadtrip with my best friend to the Midwest, and a fall excursion into the mountains with my man.
Dreamed: of warmer days and sunshine, visits to some US cities I’ve never been before, spending more quality time with my long-distance beau, and thoughts of what the future may hold for my career endeavors.
Visited: a few spots within the state, including home sweet home for the holidays.
